Deuteronomy 6
I've often wondered what it means to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength", as it states in verse 5. This is a key verse because Jesus refers to this as the greatest commandment (Matthew 22).
For us to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind - we must know God by spending time with Him in study and prayer. By knowing God our hearts should overflow with joy, compelling us to speak of Him, serve Him, and glorify Him - day and night as it refers to in verses 6-9.

Lord Jesus, please help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are indeed and an amazing God, full of love and compassion for me. You creation is a wonder beyond imagination. I know You love me. Thank You Jesus for Your love and for never leaving or forsaking me. I am not worth such love. I continue to sin - as I am selfish as one of my many sins. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress
them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when
you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. v6-9
