This morning - a sobering message about how we are to use the gifts God has entrusted with us, including the knowledge we have of Him.

Jesus, help me be in action using my gifts and my knowledge for His glory.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an amazing God who loves me and who HAS given me much - thank You for how You have blessed me - yet I am undeserving.  I often am not using my time, treasure and talents for Your glory, and of course I have other sin - please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. v3

We all sin (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:8) - and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).  We should fear God because nothing is hidden and because we don't get what we deserve.  Instead, we get what we don't deserve - mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and life - Jesus Christ.  

As well, God is expecting big things from us - see also the Parable of the Talents. We will be held accountable for how we are good stewards of the time, talents, and treasure entrusted to us (Revelation 20).
