7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

9 As it is written:
   “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
   their righteousness endures forever.”

I am confronted again today on generosity and I once again I look to Christ to look into my heart, speak to me if I am not being generous.

My Prayer:  Lord, You have blessed me in so many ways, including financially.  I don't deserve it.  I am a broken and sinful person and easily distracted by earthly and worldly concerns - please forgive me Lord Jesus.  Please convict my heart if I am not a good steward of the resources with which you have entrusted me.  Help me give both generously and cheerfully.  Please also transform my heart and my life to Your glory.
