Acts 4
After Peter and John defended themselves in front of the Sanhedrin (see last post) they were freed because "[the Sanhedrin] could not decide how to punish them" (v21). In v23-31, Peter and John returned to their fellow believers and prayed asking for boldness:
God has given all of us a great task - the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). We should ALL be asking that God enable us to be bold.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves us and who has given us Your Son, the church, the Holy Spirit, Your Word, and so much more - thank You Jesus! I am no deserving of such blessings! I worry and I am harsh with my words and actions. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. v31

Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” v29-30
