You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Genesis  47:29-50

Day 21 of my chronological study of the Bible with The Daily Bible® - In Chronological Order (NIV®) (available by purchase through Amazon - author F. LaGard Smith) focuses on the final days and death of both Jacob (Israel) and Joseph.

Of course the story of both is remarkable, and in particular Joseph's story is one of seeing God in all circumstances and in glorifying God in whatever we do.  These are very important takeaways.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

God wants us to see what we are currently experiencing through His eyes - we don't know what or how God is working but we do know that He is at work.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an amazing God who is ALWAYS at work in my life, You never stop loving me, and You never leave or forsake me - thank You Jesus!  I am not deserving of such love.  I often am caught up in sin...daily.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
