Acts 8
In v9-25 we see the apostles reaction to Simon the Sorcerer, who sought faith as a means to bring glory to himself vs God. This is a powerful lesson for us all because believers are not promised a life of health, wealth and prestige - instead are to deny oneself and seek His glory first.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an amazing God who loves and who has blessed me in ALL circumstances - even in those circumstances where I have suffered. You have molded me into a better man - and I know there is more work to do. Thank You Jesus for all that You have done so far - I am undeserving because my sin continues. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin. v22
