I am often allow myself to be hurt by how I perceive others think of me. I can't imagine experiencing anything close to Jesus' crucifixion. Of course the beating and hanging on the cross would hurt, but the sting of others' scorn would hurt as well. If I were Jesus, I would be tempted to scream out - "don't you know who I am?" I would want to demonstrate how wrong were the chief priests.
Yet I am told to not be "ruled" or trust others over God.
My Prayer: Heavenly Father - Jesus - I cannot imagine the pain You experienced on the cross for me...thank You Jesus! I am not worth such an act of pain and suffering...and grace. I worry, I am selfish, etc. among my many sin. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
