Mark 5
Today's reading includes the story of two very desperate people who sought Jesus: Jairus, a synagogue leader whose daughter was very ill, and a woman who was dealing with severe health issues for 12 years. Both sought Jesus out of this desperation, wanted to believe, and out of this desperation and desire to believe found healing with Jesus.
We all want such miracles with Jesus and of course, with Jesus anything is possible. Yet, we must also understand there is a FAITH component and God hears all of our prayers, but an IMMEDIATE response is not always in the cards. I prayed all the time for my mom to come to faith and God finally answered prayers - God is great indeed. In my own life, I've seen how faith and a hunger and thirst for righteousness, produced heart and life change.
It starts with faith as small as a mustard seed.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an amazing God who loves me and who has produced miracles in my life, heart and life change, etc. Thank You Jesus! I am not worth such love and blessings. I worry. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. He pleaded earnestly with him, My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live....Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. v22-23, 33

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
