Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

Mark 7

Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” v36-37

It says in the MacArthur commentary that Jesus "did not intend" to have a public ministry for the gentiles.  Perhaps not at this time, but Jesus did come for all of humanity and Jesus provides a message to Peter in Acts 10:9-16 that all deserve salvation.  Believers often act as if we get to decide with whom we get to share the gospel - and the point is that ALL are worthy and that it is not us who bring people to faith.  We allow Jesus to work in and through us and HE does the work!

We should be the hands and feet of Jesus to ALL.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are worthy of my full attention and life - You are the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.  You give me life and life to the full - thank You Jesus!  I am not worth such love and blessing.  I daily miss the mark.  Please forgive me for my sin and help me overcome such sin and turn towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
