Paul reminds us that our earthly life may be filled with challenges, including suffering - yet God promises a Heaven where we will have no such challenges - the Perfect City as John Piper describes it.

John describes Heaven in Revelation 21: 

God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and who created Heaven and Earth and everything else in the universe.  You provided Heaven as our eternal resting place and You are saving a place for us - thank You Jesus!  I am not worth such a gift.  I worry.  I know I should not but I do.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
