Romans 7
Paul describes the struggle he had as a pious Jew and the struggle we all have without Jesus - we all want to be good, be better, and avoid sin - yet since The Fall we cannot avoid sin being in our nature. But Jesus provides The Way! Hallelujah! Jesus died so that all of humanity's sin would die with Him - giving us grace, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, the Word, eternal life...and SO much more! Amazing grace indeed!
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an amazing God who loves me and who provides life...and abundantly...far more than I can ever imagine! Thank You Jesus! I am not deserving of such abundance. I worry...all the time. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! v21-25
