Joshua is getting old and offers both words of warning and encouragement which serve all of us well.

1. We must be careful not to conform to the patterns of this world - Paul offers this same warning (Romans 12:2) as does Peter (1 Peter 5:8)
2. Remember all that God has done - for all of His children and specifically for you.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, what an amazing God You are that You have created the heavens and the earth, and everything in them, and You are perfect in all ways.  You chose to give up Your one and only Son - Jesus Christ - so that I could be free from snare of sin and have everlasting life.  Thank You Jesus!  I am not worth such incredible gifts.  I worry.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
