We live our lives in expectation of something...all of us...our hopes however are too often in the world.  We should not place too much hope in ourselves, in others, or in other idols.

Our hope and strength should come from God alone.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17

Apart from God we can do and have no good things. 

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome who has provided - at all times and abundantly - thank You Jesus.  I am not worth such rich blessings.  I worry.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
