Isaiah 35
The dictionary, in the context of the Bible, defines retribution as "the dispensing or receiving
of reward or punishment especially in the hereafter". This should strike fear into the hearts of the unbeliever while providing comfort for the believer, especially those who live with an understanding that we exist to glorify God and we should strive to serve a God who loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who judges perfectly and You are full of compassion and patience, wanting all to come to You to be part of Your Kingdom. Thank You for Your mercy, compassion, and patience. I am not worth such love. I am often lazy. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” v3-4
