Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Colossians 4

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. v6

We as believers are called to be "salt" or "salty" in several places throughout scripture.  We all know salt to be a preservative or spice "that gives savor, piquancy, or zest"..."flavor".  John Piper uses this verse in Colossians and others to demonstrate that not only are we as believers "preserved", but we are also to have such zest and zeal for Jesus and the life He gives us (regardless of the circumstances) that others are to be attracted to Jesus through us.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are amazing...You have preserved me for eternity and blessed me with a life of abundance...beyond what I deserve. Thank You Jesus.  Yet my sin persists and I need Your forgiveness - daily!  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
