Colossians 2
As he strives to help us best understand our identity in Christ and what we have in Christ, Paul wants us to grasp the "full riches of complete understanding" and the "treasures of wisdom and knowledge" that come from knowing and accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior. Paul has previously referred to the "surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" (Philippians 3:8).
The "value" of Jesus as our Lord and Savior, as well as the value of the Holy Spirit, the Word, etc. is frequently discussed in scripture.

In Proverbs 8, the wisdom of God is referred to as "fruit [that] is better than fine gold...[it] surpasses choice silver" (v19).
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are more valuable than any thing or pursuit I can attain here on earth - I am grateful beyond words that You have adopted me into Your family! Thank You Jesus! I am not deserving of such love and blessings that come from being Your child and from being in Your family. I am not deserving of such love and blessings. I sin...daily. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
