For all the promises of God find their Yes in him.

2 Corinthians 1

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. 2 Corinthians 1:20

I paused both of my studies of Isaiah and of Proverbs to listen to DesiringGod.com's Solid Joys daily devotional.  Here, John Piper urges us to see how we should trust in all of God's promises. Trust in these promises can be "based on all the glorious grace of the past, especially the grace that God did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all (Romans 8:32)."  If our faith reflects trust in God's promises, we position ourselves to fully "embrace the power for radical service in the strength that God (in every future moment) will supply (1 Peter 4:11)."

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and whose promises I can trust as You are faithful - faithful like no other. Thank You Jesus!  I am not deserving of such love and blessings that flow from Your promises.  My sin is great and it continues.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myesle wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
