There are false prophets among us, there is the world and if we stray from God our own actions deviate from the desires of God.  We make decisions - big and small - every day - and the influences around us are critical.  We must make God first and He must surround us in our daily lives.

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:21

 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;  

in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life and I know that no one comes to the Father but through You.  Thank You for the many, many ways You bless me.  Yet I often pursue idols - please forgive me!!  I love You and I desperately need You and desire You to reign in my life.  Help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind.  Help me love others as You do.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
