Portions of Leviticus and Numbers
Day 50 of my chronological study of the Bible with The Daily Bible® - In Chronological Order (NIV®) (available by purchase through Amazon - author F. LaGard Smith) focuses on the various (five) offerings commanded by God to Moses to instruct the Israelites to perform, including sacrifice of firstfruit offerings from the harvest as well the burnt offering as means to atone for sins.
According to my commentary*, the burnt offerings "are continuous sacrifices of unblemished animals which are completely burned and never eaten" Overall, "the sacrifices and offerings are designed to bring the removal of guilt (expiation) or the obtaining of God’s favor (propitiation)".

Because we all sin and the wages of sin is death, we need a Savior...and Jesus Christ is that Savior - as John Piper refers to Christ as the "perfectly complete" sacrifice.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and You willingly offered Yon urself as the perfect "once for all" complete sacrifice - for me - thank You Jesus! I am not deserving of such an act and such a God. I sin...daily, including gossip, worry, harshness to others, etc. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome my sin and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
