2 Chronicles 36
As I wrap up my study of Chronicles and the various kings of Israel and Judah, I can see how patient and full of grace God is. In v1-14 we see three other kings who "did evil in the eyes of the Lord" and the resulting punishment and consequences of these sins. This is the primary story of Chronicles - the grace and faithfulness of God - that He made a promise to David that there would also be someone from His line on the throne. Although once again we see that God's patience is not unlimited, we do see how "again and again" God provided opportunities for His people to repent. I can never tire of expressing in this blog the incredible nature of God's grace - not just for Israel and Judah - but for me!
God is slow to anger and abounding in love.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, what an awesome God You are - that You give me SO many opportunities to turn from my sin - You are full of grace, slow to anger, and abounding in love...You also give me You Son...thank You God! I am not worth such love. I worry. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. v15-16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned[.] John 3:16-18
