We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said, ‘There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’—between us and you. The same covenant made between God and his father Abraham was renewed between God and Isaac.  So God was with Isaac and Isaac was blessed and he became very wealthy and powerful. 

God does not promise us wealth or power but He does promise that He will be with us and he makes a new covenant with us - in Jesus' blood (Hebrews 8:13).  He wants us to use the spiritual gifts He gives each of us and He wants us to be a light to others.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are a great God full of love and compassion for me - even though I am undeserving.  Thank You Jesus.  But I need You to cleanse me of my sin daily - for my selfishness, laziness, etc. as my sin continues.  Please forgive me.  Help me turn from my sin towards You and help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind, and love others as You do.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
