Day 256 of my chronological study of the Bible with The Daily Bible® - In Chronological Order (NIV®) (available by purchase through Amazon - author F. LaGard Smith) continues with my study of Job as both Bildad and Zophar for a second time address Job to seek to comfort him, and to help him understand his suffering.
John MacArthur refers to Job's hope in vindication after death. "[H]e would enjoy perfect fellowship with the Redeemer. That Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of whom Job spoke is the clear message of the gospel." All believers have this hope in redemption.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and who saved and redeemed me - thank You Jesus! You paid the price for my sins - and freed me from the sting of sin and death. Thank You Jesus! I am not deserving of such love and such a gift - the greatest gift of all time. I yearn to be with You with every day and I know I will someday see You with my own eyes. I am not deserving of a God that does this for me. I sin...pride, arrogance, worry, etc....every day! Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
