Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.

Job 25-31

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7:20

Day 258 of my chronological study of the Bible with The Daily Bible® - In Chronological Order (NIV®) (available by purchase through Amazon - author F. LaGard Smith) continues with my study of Job as Bildad once again addresses Job to seek to comfort him, and to help him understand his suffering. Job responds and again asserts his righteousness.  Job may have led a largely righteous life but we all sin:

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7:20

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. Romans 3:20

It is our acknowledgement of this fact that should drive us into the arms of our Creator and Savior - Jesus Christ.

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and who, despite knowing everything about me, including my sin, came to save me anyway, giving me life to the full on earth and for eternity in Heaven.  Thank You Jesus!  I am not deserving of such love and gifts.  I continue to sin...pride, arrogance, worry, etc.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lia and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
