Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord—that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Psalm 83

Let them know that you, whose name is the Lordthat you alone are the Most High over all the earth. v18

Striking about this Psalm is that Asaph desires for God to communicate to Israel's enemies.   Jesus makes a new covenant and his commandment for His followers is to go out and make disciples of all people (Matthew 28).  When He does so He goes further to instruct us that the Gospel is not just for Jews but for all - Jews and Gentile (Acts 10) alike.

Furthermore, we are to spread a message of love and forgiveness...and we are to forgive just as Jesus has forgiven us (Matthew 18:21-35) (for more on this see here).

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You indeed are a the Most High.  You are Lord over all, You created all things, You are in all things and You hold all things together.  I know You love - brokenness and all - thank You Jesus!  I am not worth such love.  I am harsh, impatient, and I worry.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me turn from my sin and turn towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength.  Help me love and forgive others as You do for me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give me strength.  Give Lisa strength.  Please heal and cure her of her cancer and the side effects from chemo.  Help me lead and serve Lisa, Zach and Dustin...and serve You.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
