In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and deliver them. And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them. And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them.

I continue my deep dive of Isaiah, based on the Precept Upon Precept study series. Today, on Lesson 8, Day 1, the focus is on Isaiah 19-20, we see a humbling of Egypt as God uses His judgement of this nation to bring Egypt to Him as Isaiah commentary (from the Christ-Centered Exposition Series) indicates a prophecy of the rise of the Coptic Christian church in Egypt (see Isaiah 19:19). While I posted about the fleeting nature of earthly kingdom's in God's eyes (and His plans), today I reflect on how God fulfilled on His promise to bring about the Coptic Christian church - He is faithful indeed!

Comment and discuss this post.

My Prayer: Heavenly Father, Jesus, You are great indeed and You are faithful!  I have seen Your hand in my life to fulfill many of the promises You make and today I see how You fulfilled prophecy in the Bible to establish Your church in Egypt - amazing.  You are amazing and You pour out SO MANY blessings on me - I am undeserving...I do worry and I have other sins.  Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You.  Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me.  Help me grow in my faith.  Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength.  Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo.  Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior.  Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin.  Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others.  Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
