Matthew 8
We all have earthly matters that we must attend to - family, work, health, etc. In the midst of life, we often claim that we don't have time for God, who ironically, has provided all the many things we claim get in the way of our relationship with God. In my experience, it's not that we don't have time for God - we do - it's that we don't value the time we do spend with God. All of us must find our own path to God and a path to a deeper relationship with God. For me it's been my blogging here where I have found God talking to me. It's taken years of plugging away - but year over year my desire for Jesus has grown as I've gotten to know more about Him and seen Him transform my heart and life.
Earnestly seek Him
Hunger and thirst for righteousness
Seek God
My Prayer: Lord, You are an awesome God who loves me and who is always there when I seek You. You are faithful as You have said that if I seek You with all of my heart, I will find You and I have found this to be true as I have all of Your other promises - You are faithful! Thank You Jesus for Your love and faithfulness. I am not worth such love. I daily miss the mark. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
