Ezekiel 34
God is now preparing the hearts of Israel for restoration. He once again reinforces the promises and covenant He made with David as He points to the House of David and Jesus who will be the shepherd referenced here.
The words in the verse today provide a strong measure of God's care, mercy, compassion and love for us. Rest assured - we have a God like no other as He loves us.
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves us and who daily is full of tender mercies for us. Thank You Jesus! I am not worth such love as I continue to worry. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice. v16
