Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted
in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their
lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I decree
that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the
God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their
houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.” Daniel 3:28-29

continues as I pivot to study Daniel and and his three friends, Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednago as my commentary indicates they "are in the capital city of Babylon, about to be punished by King Nebuchadnezzar for being faithful to God."

While this is a story most believers know well, it is particularly relevant today as people of faith are under attack for their beliefs. We must find a way to draw strength to stand firm in the faith.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For
our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-17
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God who loves me and who has protected me from great harm - sin and other types of harm, including physical harm. Thank You Jesus! I am not deserving of who You love and protect me. I worry...too much. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You love me. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
