Psalm 20
It is easy to believe and have faith in people and the things of this world - I am too often guilty of this. It is much harder to have faith and trust in God. That is one reason why God HAD to send His Son Jesus Christ because faith on our own is impossible.
It is also important to recognize that all of what we have is from God - including all of our spiritual gifts, abilities, and material possessions.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
My Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are an incredible God who provides for all of my needs and who never leaves or forsakes me - You give me faith and life...to the full! Thank You Jesus. I am not worth such love. I worry. Please forgive me Jesus and help me overcome and turn from my sin towards You. Help me love You with all of my heart, soul, and mind and love others as You do. Help me grow in my faith. Give Lisa and myself wisdom and strength. Please heal Lisa of her cancer and from the side effects of chemo. Help us lead Zach and Dustin to You Jesus and for them to choose You as their Lord and Savior. Please provide Godly friends and spouses to Zach and Dustin. Help me serve You, my family, my church, and others. Help me understand, be obedient to, and apply Your message for me today and every day.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. v7
